This site is sponsored by the Tippecanoe County Partnership for Water Quality, which seeks to partner with local, state, and federal government and other stakeholders to provide quality of life and protection of health, environment, and economy that our citizens desire and deserve as we serve as stewards of natural resources, system infrastructure, and public funds while solving stormwater and water quality issues. The Partnership consists of the following entities:
A steering committee of local stakeholders was formed to help Tippecanoe County, Lafayette, West Lafayette, Purdue, Dayton, Battle Ground, and Ivy Tech develop a plan to improve stormwater quality and water quality in our creeks, streams, and rivers. The committee included representatives from local governments, Purdue University, Ivy Tech, the Soil and Water Conservation District, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, the Homebuilders Association, Pheasants Forever, local engineers, and local citizens. The group began by clearly defining their role and their Goals and Objectives regarding the development of the stormwater quality management plan. The group worked together over the course of three years to develop a plan that was effective and equitable. Click the water drop (
