Steering Committee

A steering committee of local stakeholders was formed to help Tippecanoe County, Lafayette, West Lafayette, Purdue, Dayton, Battle Ground, and Ivy Tech develop a plan to improve stormwater quality and water quality in our creeks, streams, and rivers.  The committee included representatives from local governments, Purdue University, Ivy Tech, the Soil and Water Conservation District, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, the Homebuilders Association, Pheasants Forever, local engineers, and local citizens.  The group began by clearly defining their role and their Goals and Objectives regarding the development of the stormwater quality management plan.  The group worked together over the course of three years to develop a plan that was effective and equitable.  Click the water drop ( w) to view the agenda or minutes from a particular meeting.
