As a part of a coalition of local governments' National Pollution Discharge Elimination Stormwater Permit, this website is dedicated to improving water quality in our Wabash River as well as all the creeks and streams that feed it. If you are surprised to learn that you might be a source of contaminants, hopefully you will be equally surprised by how easy it is to improve water quality. Everyone can make a difference - from homeowners, to business owners, to developers, and especially kids. You can make a difference at home, at work, and at school. There are opportunities to volunteer, explore, learn and enjoy the incredible water resources we have in Tippecanoe County.
Tippecanoe County Partnership for Water Quality
The Tippecanoe County Partnership for Water Quality (TCPWQ) provides education, information, and outreach efforts to encourage public participation in improving the quality of the county's waters. Whether you are a resident, a business owner, developer, or just an interested party, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved within your community and take steps toward enhancing stormwater quality.
The Partnership consists of the following entities:
- Tippecanoe County
- City of Lafayette
- City of West Lafayette
- Purdue University
- Town of Battle Ground
- Ivy Tech of Lafayette
- Town of Dayton

Ryan Cambridge submitted the winning water quality logo entry in a contest sponsored by the Tippecanoe Partnership for Water Quality.
In Ryan's own words, the logo "combines all the main elements of an environmentally conscious storm water management system into one simple graphic. The “clean” water droplet and the “healthy” fish combine together to form a heart, symbolizing the need for love and care for the environment. The blue/green color scheme...effectively represents the correlation between clean water and a “green” environment."
